Create a custom tool

1. Drag a copy of a tool to a shelf or marking menu.
2. Set the options of the tool.
3. Hold (Windows) or (Mac) and double-click the tool copy to rename it.

Drag a custom tool onto a shelf

1. Double-click the tool icon on the palette and set its options.
2. -drag the icon in the option window onto a shelf.

   

   NoteThe icon in the option window represents a copy of the tool with the current settings.

Customize a tool already on a shelf

1. Double-click the tool on the shelf and set its options.
2. Click Save.
   NoteThe settings of any other copies of the tool on the shelves or on the palette do not change.
