Limitations related to the import/export of CAD data.
When you first enter the Export Rapid Prototype tool, the Export Rapid Prototype control box opens automatically. However, if you close the control box, it will not re-open when you enter the tool unless you select File > Export > Rapid Prototype ❒, or double-click the Export Rapid Prototype icon. If, instead, you exit the tool by entering another tool then the Export Rapid Prototype control box will continue to open automatically the next time you use it.
Textures do not export to .DWF format. If your model uses a texture with no color values, the default color for the texture will be exported.
Some files originating in Alias Versions 9.5 to 9.7 may be corrupted and crash when opened into this version of Alias.
Workaround: In a previous version of Alias, delete the null nodes (empty textures nodes, empty shaders, and so on), save the file, and try to import it again.
To allow re-evaluation, delete these commands using the History View window.
Make sure that you select the Keep Original Model before stitching.
With default display settings, surfaces of degrees higher than 14 appear distorted when input into Alias.
To ensure proper display of these surfaces, use Object Edit > Patch Precision to increase the patch precision to at least 4.
